We’re proud to be an affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which received Charity Navigator’s highest possible four-star rating for the fourth consecutive year today. Charity Navigator evaluates approximately 5,400 charities per year, and this year Komen joins the select 9 percent of organizations that have received at least four straight 4-star ratings.
The rating is bestowed upon charities demonstrating fiscal soundness, a huge achievement for even one year during these economic times. Komen’s Founder and CEO Nancy Brinker expressed her gratitude to the entire Susan G. Komen for the Cure family and said the four-star rating is a true testament to the hard work of the Affiliates, volunteers and staff.
Charity Navigator ratings show potential donors how efficiently a charity will use donations and the potential to continue providing programs and services in the future. Komen for the Cure raised more than $347 million in the last fiscal year.
Thank you to all our dedicated OC Affiliate’s volunteers and Race participants for helping Komen for the Cure receive this great rating and achieve a world without breast cancer!
